The application came into life in June 2017. ColorPencil launch was during the Annual art exhibition cum competition organised by AVES with chief guests Actor Minon, Surya Kalya, Hima Fernandez and Kureepuzha Sreekumar held at CSI convention centre.
Since then it has been helping out young art enthusiasts to develop and improve their artistic skills with the help of a wide network of Artists and art enthusiasts.
What is ColorPencil?
ColorPencil is a digital portfolio network for artists and art enthusiasts. A timeline to share their creative portfolio. It is one of the safest platforms for art enthusiasts to explore creativity and to create and organise their artworks.
It provides a great reach to artists to connect with others worldwide. Combined with a nodal network of professional artists, it provides an efficient platform that ensures better interaction among art enthusiasts and artists through appreciation and feedbacks.

How to use ColorPencil?
Android Application – Download here
- Download the app from Play Store. (Search keyword ‘Colorpencil aves’)
- Open the Colorpencil app.
- Select the option I’m a student
- Next, type the ID and password which is already allotted in this kit for each candidate and click the login button.
- Next select the the Arrow button above MY UPLOADS
- And there will be 3 Options and based on type of your artwork select the respective option. For eg: Select camera icon to upload drawings
- Next step is to take the picture of the works you have drawn
- Then there will be 2 options Public and Private. Click the public option and then click the UPLOAD option
- Finally it is successfully uploaded and awaits Artists approval.
- Users can upload already completed works or can create fresh artworks and upload (image, video or pdf) according to the type of art form mentioned above

Community art project : AVES will organize frequent community involved art projects with aim of initiating social changes inspired by arts
Workshops : These worships will be led by different visiting faculties and will vary on topics from different forms of art.
Field trips and visits : AVES will be working to organize art events, programmes , etc. throughout the year for which the users will be given direct access.
Art courses : And finally last but not the least, we would be offering short time courses on various art forms throughout the year for different age groups
